Pantel Technologies has announced an Andorid 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich tablet called T-Pad IS701C in India. Pantel's new tablet has been priced at Rs. 4,999.

Pantel's T-Pad IS701C is powered by a Cortex A8 1GHz processor. The device features a seven-inch capacitive touch display with 800x480 pixel resolution. The device comes with a 0.3MP front camera. The tablet has a 512 MB DDR III RAM with an internal storage of 4 GB (expandable up to 32 GB). For connectivity, the tablet supports 3G, USB 2.0 port and a micro USB port.
Pantel has previously launched three tablets in partnership with state-run telecom operator BSNL. The BSNL T-Pad IS701R and BSNL T-Pad WS704C are 7-inch tablets and priced at Rs. 3,250 and Rs.10,999 respectively, while the BSNL T-Pad WS802C is an eight-inch tablet with a price tag of Rs. 13,500.

Pantel's new T-Pad is yet another addition to the heavily crowded budget tablet market of India. Of late, we've seen Micromax, Karbonn and Zen Mobile launching their ICS-based budget tablets in India.
